Now get ECGs instantly!  Developed specifically for veterinary professionals, the Veterinary Heart Monitor and corresponding free Veterinary AliveECG app changes your practice, adding convenience and ease of use, to allow you to take powerful, accurate recordings while improving your quality of care. The AliveCor Veterinary Heart Monitor model AC-002 is a Veterinarian’s medical device that measures electrical activity of the heart and is compatible with the Apple’s iPhone 4 / 4s. The corresponding AliveECG Vet app on the iPhone will provide a Veterinarian with a single-lead ECG (electrocardiogram) waveforms from the canine, feline and equine patients, the can be done either in a clinic or at home. The AliveCor is comprises of two electrodes that will come in contact on the patient (animal) skin in order to obtain the ECG waveform. The output ECG sound signals from the AliveCor are transmitted through the audio transmitter to the microphone of the iphone. This ECG signals transmitted is an ultrasonic FM sound signal that is processed in the iPhone. The frequency is inaudible, ultrasonic, FM sound signal that has a carrier frequency in the range of 18 kHz to about 24 kHz.
