Making ones own E-liquid can be sped up by using a magnetic stir plate which speeds up speeding and makes sure that all components are mixed perfectly! Glycerol / glycerine, one of the main components of E-liquid, has a viscosity 1500 times higher than water, which makes it exceptionally difficult to mix using a magnetic stir plate. This means that many stir plates either can’t mix E-liquid properly, or they can only mix very small amounts. BrewSci Alu03 is so powerful that it can mix 30 to 1000 ml E-liquid (or more if using less than 50% glycerol)! The first picture shows Alu03 mixing 700 ml pure glycerol. The BrewSci stir plate model Alu03 measures 4 x 17 x 11.5 cm (1.6" x 6.8" x 4.6"), and is able to easily carry flasks up to 5 liters in size, and stand securely on the table thanks to its four soft feet. The Alu03 stir plate has a sturdy aluminum enclosure which makes it the perfect companion in the workshop. Alu03 contains a strong 12V motor and two large and powerful neodymium magnets of grade N52, the highest grade of neodymium magnet available, superior to the magnets found in most other stir plates. The stir plate is powered by an external power supply – orders from mainland Europe will get an EU power supply, orders from United Kingdom will get an UK power supply, orders from the United States will get an US power supply and those from Australia will get an AU power supply. If you need a different power supply instead of what is specified above, please add a note during checkout. When buying a BrewSci Alu03 stir plate you also get two high quality Teflon coated stir bars, one egg-shaped and one with a pivot ring, so you can use the one that best suits your flask. The second stir bar can be used to avoid that the stir bar in the yeast starter ends up in your fermenter. Please note that the flask is not included.
