The lens end of the refractometer has a marking that states "TEMPERATURE COMPENSATED PAT. 10414 U.S." The refractometer also comes with a plastic stand-tab that has a marking that says "AO SPECIAL SCALE." Please note that there is no instruction sheet included. The American Optical Company presents its American-made hand-held Refractometer with a protective case that boasts the AO Logo, 2 snaps, and a pocket clip.
