1888-1962 ~ 32 Vol. Set ~ AMERICAN SHETLAND PONY CLUB STUD BOOK~Breeding History Up for sale is.... A massive (5562 pages) and extremely rare 32-volume set bound in 21 red cloth bindings with gold lettering on the front and spine: THE AMERICAN SHETLAND PONY CLUB STUD BOOK. The volumes are all in Good to Very Good condition (mostly Very Good). The only significant damage to this massive set is the page shown in the photo with what (I am guessing) was the mailing label for the set. This label was stuck to the page in the photo and I caused some minor damage while removing it. There also is some minor soiling to a few of the covers. One volume has some very minor damage to the bottom corner of one page. And a couple of volumes have some very minor staining on the blank end pages just inside the covers. Otherwise, the text pages are clean, bright, crisp and in excellent condition. The bindings are all tight and strong. And the covers have only minor wear. Please take a close look at the 24 photos in the listing (which may be supersized for an even closer look). The price for this item includes careful packaging and insured USPS Priority Mail Shipping. If you wish to pick the set up in person, I will refund you $100. I can find no publishing information printed in this set, but it seems that the volumes for 1888 to 1960 were probably printed in 1961 and that the final two volumes in the set were printed in 1962 and 1963 respectively. The exception to this is that the binding containing volumes 19, 20 & 21 explicitly states that it was "Reprinted 1962." They may have light to moderate page yellowing. May have highlighting, underlining or writing on less than 15 pages (but nothing that makes the book difficult to read). The binding will be tight. The cover may have some light to moderate edge or surface wear. May have some light to moderate creasing. May be missing dust jacket or the dust jacket may even be in very poor condition. Good- : May have highlighting, underlining or writing on 15 pages or more but the markings will be neat and generally brief. The binding may be a little weak or the book a little bent but the book will be in nice shape otherwise. The cover may have some small tears or heavy creasing. Acceptable: Has some serious wear but is still readable and all parts of the book will be useable. There will be no missing pages unless clearly noted.
