Amprobe - 3026830 DC205C Deluxe Heavy Duty Carrying Case Hard-shell case for storing and carrying compatible multimeters Hard exterior provides better protection against bumps and abrasions than a soft, pouch-style case Folding cover can be opened or closed to expose or conceal meter controls, and clasp closure keeps the cover closed during transport Shoulder strap frees hands during transport Measures 9.6 x 4.7 x 4.3 inches (H x W x D) The Amprobe D205C hard-shell carrying case with shoulder strap is for storing and transporting compatible multimeters. The case's hard exterior provides better protection against bumps and abrasions than a soft, pouch-style case. The folding cover can be opened or closed to expose or conceal meter controls, and a clasp closure keeps the cover closed during transport. The case has a shoulder strap to free hands during transport. The case measures 9.6 x 4.7 x 4.3 inches (244 x 119 x 109 mm, H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back). Multimeters are electrical test meters that measure multiple properties of an electrical circuit, such as current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or bench top models, multimeters diagnose electrical problems in electrical equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be used to connect the meter to a circuit or device. Multimeters display information either in analog or digital form. Factors that influence meter choice include the electrical properties to be measured, the anticipated range of results, and the desired level of protection against transient voltages. Safety ratings are based on the International Electro technical Commission's (IEC) standards for low-voltage test equipment. IEC 61010 delineates four overvoltage installation categories. In general, a meter with a category IV rating will provide more protection against transient voltages than a meter with a lower category rating. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA.
