General Interest Amprobe AM-570 Industrial Digital Multimeter with True-RMS     Description AM-570 Industrial Multimeter View larger Built for real-world industrial applications View larger Industrial Quality Multimeter The Amprobe AM-570 is the best multimeter in its class designed for professional electricians and HVAC technicians who need to maintain, service or troubleshoot advanced electrical systems in the most demanding environments. Packed full of features such as True RMS, dual thermocouples for taking differential temperature measurements, a low impedance function to detect stray voltage, and a low pass filter to accurately take measurements on variable frequency drives, the Amprobe AM-570 Digital Multimeter allows for quick go/no-go checks without the need for an additional tool. Packed With High-End Features The Amprobe AM-570 Industrial Digital Multimeter with True RMS is a digital multimeter (also known as a multitester) that measures AC/DC voltage to 1,000V, AC/DC current to 10A, frequency to 60 MHz, resistance to 60 megaohms, capacitance to 60 millifarads, and temperature from -40 to +1832 degrees F (-40 to +1000 degrees C). It also performs audible continuity tests and diode tests. This true RMS (root mean square) meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the current or voltage has an undistorted waveform, or nonlinear loads, such as electronic devices or motors, where the current or voltage has a distorted waveform. Dual thermocouples allow for differential temperature measurements and a low-pass filter allows users to read voltage and frequency on variable frequency drives. Built-in safety features include the low impedance mode and non-contact voltage detection, which verify the presence of voltage and stray voltage. This meter is manual- and auto-ranging for user flexibility and a duty cycle indicates the percentage of time a signal is above or below the trigger level during one cycle. The meter has a data hold and a peak hold for specialized signal measurements as well as Max/min memory and a relative reading to take the difference between two measurements. The 6,000-count, dual display is backlit for readability in low- light conditions and an on-screen analog bar graph detects noise. It provides a warning against improper test lead connections as well as a low battery warning. This meter meets safety standards for Category III to 1,000V and Category IV to 600V. It has a built-in flashlight, a rubber tilt stand, built-in test lead storage, and a test lead holder. It uses a 9V battery (installed) and has an auto power-off function to maximize battery life. A "Must Have" Electricians Tool Multimeters are indispensable electrical test meters that measure multiple properties of an electrical circuit, such as current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. The AM-570 can be used to diagnose electrical problems in electrical equipment, wiring, and power supplies. With the included temperature thermocouples and test leads, this multimeter can be connected to a circuit or device to measure its electrical or performance properties to confirm functionality. Factors that influence meter choice include the electrical properties to be measured, the anticipated range of results, and the desired level of protection against transient voltage. This particular multimeter has been designed for use in industrial environments to test voltages up to 1000V and 10A. This meter is rated Category IV/600V, Category III/1000V. Safety ratings are based on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards for low-voltage test equipment. In general, a meter with a category IV rating will provide more protection against transient voltages than a meter with a lower category rating.
