Amprobe G3000 Signal Generator ..Locate Underground Buried Pipe 0r CableI offer you here the Amprobe G3000 Signal Generator for use with the AT3000 Pipe and underground wiring Locater. Is generally used with the Amprobe R3000 locater. Make an offer I cannot refuse Following the on/off instructions: Push the on button and a loud even tone comes on... Maintain the on pressure for a couple seconds and the volume dramatically lessens with the same pitch just less volume. Push the button again and the unit powers off as instructions state it should.. This is the signal generator only. No test leads included.I do not have them. It utilizes a 3 prong plug-in for the missing leads. Last professionally tested in 2005. This unit is out of production. I make no guarantees other than it powers up fine. I am a 40 some year equipment maintenance mechanic(never used one of these). This unit powers up and down and powers off as it should. The lower cable storage case is in fine used condition...just needs the cables. Batteries test nearly fully charged. Taken from the Amprobe G3000 online users guide: " The G-3000 is used to apply a tone to a buried conductor. This signal can be traced using the R-3000 locator switched to the G-3000 mode. Direct connection Direct connection is the most effective form of signal application and is suitable for connection to a valve, meter, junction box or other access point." There are no cracks or breaks or damage to the unit other than honest wear from use in the field. All of the decals with operational instructions are fully intact. Unit is roughly the size of a small automotive battery and weighs no more than 4 pounds without the cables that are not included. THis unit is out of production and cost new $1,100. I will guarantee it and I will work with you and make it right if it doesn't work as specified in this ad...I will never use it.
