Amprobe ACD-23SW True-RMS Swivel Clamp Meter with Temperature and VolTect Non-Contact Voltage Detection Clamp meter for measuring voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, continuity, and temperature in electrical wires and cables up to 1.18in. (30mm) in diameter True RMS meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads with current or voltage that has a sinusoidal or nonsinusoidal waveform Clamp head swivels 180 degrees for non-contact voltage detection from 70 to 600V AC and indicates presence of voltage with red indicator light and audible beep Measures AC and DC voltage up to 600V, AC current up to 400A, resistance up to 40 megaohms, capacitance up to 4mF, continuity up to 400 ohms, and temperature from -30 to 400 degrees F (-35 to 400 degrees C) Safety rated to European Standard 61010-01 Category III 600V Technical Details Automatic, positive implied, negative polarity indication Product Description The Amprobe ACD-23SW clamp meter measures voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, continuity, and temperature in electrical wires and cables up to 1.18in. (30mm) in diameter. This true root mean square (RMS) meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads with current or voltage that has a sinusoidal or nonsinusoidal waveform. The clamp head swivels 180 degrees so that the display can be turned for greater readability and the jaw is designed for single-handed operation. The non-contact voltage indicators detects voltage from 70 to 600V alternating current (AC), works on any range, and indicates the presence of AC voltage with a red indicator light and audible beep. The tester measures AC and direct current (DC) voltage up to 600V, AC current up to 400A, resistance up to 40 megaohms, capacitance up to 4mF, and continuity up to 400 ohms. It also measures temperature from -30 to 400 degrees F (-35 to 400 degrees C) for more accurate readings. The unit is both manual and autoranging. The 3-3/4 LCD has a maximum reading of 3,999 and has a hold function. The tester is powered by two AAA batteries and has an auto-off function that turns the unit off after 10 minutes of idle time. The ACD-23SW is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications Power supply AAA batteries (two, included) AC voltage range 0 to 600V DC voltage range 0 to 600V AC current range 0 to 400A Resistance range 0 to 40 megaohms Capacitance range 0 to 4mF Continuity range 0 to 400 ohms Temperature range -30 to 400 F/-35 to 400 C Weight (including batteries) 1.26lb./157g Safety standard met International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)/European Standards (EN) 61010-01 Cat III 600V Dimensions 12 x 5.3 x 1.2 inches / 306 x 135 x 30mm (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit; multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. An autoranging meter cycles through range settings automatically until it reaches the correct range. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA. What’s in the Box?
