Antique Poultry Feeder, Waterer No. 540 (Bottom) Anderson Box Co. In 1918 Herman C. Krannert founded Anderson Box Company in Anderson, Indiana. This original business would eventually become a subsidiary of its larger successor, Inland Container Corporation. Company records officially trace Inland's origins to Krannert's founding in 1925 of Inland Box Company in Indianapolis.  In 1930 the company name was changed to Inland Container Corporation. This Clear Glass feeder is marked: Anderson Box Co. Indpls. Ind. No. 540 - For no. 1541 & 1542 Patent applied for.  There are a couple of production flaws in the glass near these markings, however, there are no chips or other damage. Dimensions:  approximately 9 in. diameter, 2 in. tall. Will accept a jar top of either 3.5 in. wide or 5.25 in. wide.  Feeder weighs just short of 3 pounds. THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY AUCTION!
