Our hydroponic fodder feed systems are producing high quality ,economical animal feed particularly suited to every environment, but especially those environments that experience drought, land shortages, short growing seasons and climate difficulties. A fodder feed system will give you, year round, super nutritious feed for your animals at a great unbeatable price.- We offer the right size system to meet your needs at the right price. You shouldn't have to pay for a system that produces more feed than you need. The 12 Tray system produces 16-24 lbs of fodder a day. It takes six days to produce the Fodder mat. The Fodder mat is fed roots and all so there is no waste. 2 pound of seed will make about 8-12 pounds of Fodder. You can sprout wheat, barley, corn, sunflowers, etc. Nutrition/Amounts: Fodder is 80% digestible as compared to 30% for dry grain Fodder is a little over 20% protein. Vitamin A and enzymes are very high in Fodder Barley Fodder is slightly more nutritious than wheat Fodder but wheat is easier to sprout and more readily available. Day six is where the Fodder has its highest nutrient content. After that, nutrients decrease. Animals: - # of animals for a 12 tray system: 80 chickens or 60 rabbits or 2 horses or 8 milking goats or 2 milking cows or What kinds of animals will eat Fodder? Anything that can eat hay or grain will do well on fodder. This includes: rabbits, poultry, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, llamas, alpacas, and equines. How many animals can a Fodder Kit feed? Each tray takes about 2 pounds of grain which, depending on the sprout rate, should give you up to 8-12 pounds of Fodder daily. Assembly required. All you do is add seed and water. This is a flood and drain system. The water goes into the top trays and drips down into the other trays ending up in the tote where it is reused.
