Supporting W-CDMA, HSPA, HSPA Evolution, GSM, GPRS and EGPRS services in a single unit, it is the industry's first HSPA signaling tester and the only one with full HSPA capability including 42 Mbps DL/11 Mbps UL maximum data throughput. The MD8480C's air interface fully complies with the 3GPP recommendations. The MD8480C provides chipset and wireless device encoding/decoding tests and regression testing as well as protocol sequence tests such as registration, origination, termination, handover (option), and UE/NW release.
