Anritsu MS4623B Vector network analyzer. "Frankenstein" is written on the case. This was formerly owned by Anritsu and has a tag stating "NAMG-Demo." It was owned by an Anritsu systems design engineer who was working on newer models. Included in this auction: - MS4623B analyzer - installed options - software disks - power cord - various documentation, brochures, schematics It powers on but does not pass the self test. Under the diagnostics, the self test cycles through dozens of internal tests but doesn't pass at least one of them (doesn't tell me). It boots through internal memory and shows the channel screen. I have not conducted measurements with this device, therefore it is sold as-is with no warranty. I opened the front of the unit. It has the mother board, two source modules, the power unit, and a transceiver tray with modules. It is missing an LCD connector cable. I had to borrow one from another machine to test it. If I find it, I will include it in the auction. I will also include software disks. This is worth more than $3000 in parts alone. Original MSRP was over $30k. This unit was personally owned by the system design engineer of the 4600 Scorpion series for Anritsu. He had since retired and had this in his personal workshop. He possibly used this to design new analyzers and to service/repair other Anritsu systems. He had been an engineer in Silicon Valley since the early 80s. Naturally it is much more expensive. -- This was owned by a former design/systems engineer for Anrtisu out of Morgan Hill, CA. He had many components, prototypes, and complete machines. If the component was bad, he typically marked it as such. I will not be listing items specifically marked as bad. I don't have the knowledge or capability to test, so all of the items are sold as-is. I have many misc supplies and equipment. If you want something specific, let me know. Shipping is for economy ground. If it needs to be expedited, buyer can pay the difference. I only ship between Tuesday and Friday. Buyers outside the continental U.S. may have to pay higher shipping. In those cases, actual shipping will be charged.
