ANTG Ingento No. 4 Paper Cutter/Trimmer Industrial/School Wood/Iron ‘Guillotine’ While preparing for the Wabash Valley Bottle and Pottery Show, scheduled April 9th, Terre Haute IN Fairgrounds, I found several boxes of items I had forgotten I had. Included in the items that I will be adding to my store are some antique items, and a few items that I was not sure would sell at this show, along with a few pieces that I am putting in my store and taking to the show also. This sale is for one of those unusual items that I had forgotten I owned. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This sale is for an incredible, early Industrial / Business / School Paper Cutter, or ‘Guillotine’, see picts. It is well marked as “Ingento No. 4” on the side of the heavy cast metal cutting arm, see picts. The Wood Surface, used to position the paper for cutting is approx. 3/4 inch thick, and the two long support bars, running along parallel sides, are ‘dovetailed’ into the work surface, see picts. The top of the working surface has a graph paper design, see picts. There is a ruler that forms one side of the work surface, measuring 0 – 12 1/2 inches, see picts. The ruler is marked, “”Keep Joints Well Oiled”, see picts The wood has a beautiful patina, there is one place, where the wood was joined, that is separating, not considered significant, but pictured for your review, see picts. The spring that controls the arm is very heavy duty, wonderful Industrial/Business/School equipment, works as well as it looks, see picts. The arm moves freely up and down, nice clean cut on a sheets of paper, see picts. If you need a sharper cut the arm could be sharpened, but this will be left to the new owner. The metal Cutting Arm is approx. 17 inches long, plenty of room for a great cast metal handle, see picts. The top of the work area is approx. 2 inches from the bottom of the base. The top of the ‘gear’, or tallest point, is approx. 3 1/4 inches tall. This item will weigh approx. 10 pound packed to ship. I am told that my descriptions are too wordy, and that I describe minimal damage that should be expected in vintage/antique items. They are probably right, as this is an old item and shows it's age. When I log into PayPal to print labels, after the item has been paid for, then the higher correct UPS amount appears. I have had to remove UPS as a shipping option. If you prefer UPS please send me your zip code, and I will calculate an accurate UPS shipping cost. Payment via PayPal is expected within 3 days of purchase. If you purchase multiple items please do not pay until I can send you a combined invoice. Often I can save shipping expense when packing multiple items, unless the box needed is oversize.
