ANTIQUE AMERICAN MADE IN ST LOUIS You have the opportunity to own a very rare and hard to find AMERICAN Boot sewing machine. This heavy industrial machine was purchased from an estate auction in which the deceased couple owned a ski rental business. The machine was used to make and repair boots and the couple also had other machines that I currently have on ebay. I was told that the machine was last used 15 years ago and has been sitting in the store all this time. The store Alpine towing is located in Rhodedenron, Oregon. The machine appears overall in great condition.  I am not qualified to give any information on this machine because I am not a cobbler and have no knowledge how to operate the machine. It appears that some type of wax or resin heats up at the top of the machine and coats the stitching? The machine can be seen in Vancouver, Washington. The only damage I see is a section has been broken that holds one of two bolts that holds tray onto front of machine. This damage appears very old (You can see both in first picture if you look close). The machine can be picked up in Vancouver, Washington or I will deliver within 300 miles of Portland, Oregon for a fee. I will transport the machine to a shipping company in Portland next to Portland International airport. Winner will pay crating and shipping. If you would like to stop by and see the machine contact me. You could contact a sewing repair company in my area to send out a specialist to check the machine for you before purchase. Please contact me with serious offers.  I have started the mchine and the motor runs and sounds great. The main start stop switch isnt broke. I couldnt figure how to get the resin to heat up. Maybe I didnt have the other switch on in the correct position? When I stepped on the pedal the clutch went in and out properly. Only problem is the belts are loose and need to be replaced or tightened. I stopped and spoke with a shoe repairman and he says that it takes two to three years to learn how to run a machine such as this. No returns due to size and weight.
