Up for bidding is this rare printing copper plate, circa 1913. The plate depicts Col. Charles W. Thatcher riding with others on his wagon being pulled by mules. Plate measures 5" X 3 1/4" X 15/16" thick. Col. Thatcher was also called " The Good Road Apostle ". The plate is engraved on the bottom......" Inspecting the Washington Highway with Col. Thatcher". Col. Thatcher was on the National Good Road Committee. He is why the Pacific highway, Washington Highway and many others were built. He went coast to coast on his wagon pulled by mules.
