Antique Early 1900's Metal "Calf Weaning Device With Nose Clamps/ Muzzle Restraint": Very cool turn of the century metal "calf weaning device with nose clamps/ muzzle restraint." Item is in good and complete condition for it's age. Made of metal the mouth guard is very interesting looking. Feature 8 holes on both the left and right side of the plate that would cover the calf's mouth. There is also 2 other triangular openings located in the center. There is a maker's logo but I am unfortunately not able to read it. The piece has accumulated a beautiful rust and patina which looks very cool. Attached to the mouth guard portion is an adjustable clip which would secure into the calf's nostrils. The ends are fitted with a sort of plastic or bakelite material, which would help to make the piece more comfortable. Altogether this is a beautiful example of early 20th century craftsmanship. Please see pictures for condition issues.  Measurements: 6 inches in H, 7.5 inches in L, & 0.85 inches in D. Weighs a little over a pound.  Makes a great addition to an already existing collection of vintage farm ware or antique oddities. Would make a cool one-of-a-kind pair of goggles for cosplay or steampunk enthusiasts. Always a conversation piece! Please feel free to ask any questions & I will get back to you promptly.
