Antique Edison Watchmakers Drill Press

US $1600

This came from our watchmakers estate! The motor is marked "Edison" with a big E below and says universal motor made in USA the Moore and all moving parts ran when plugged in but started to Pose speed after about 15 seconds and this appears to be due to lubrication. The belt has some dry cracking but remains tight. A bit of surface rust. All parts appear to be present, but there is no chuck. It has a hollow shaft with a step in the top and looks to me as if it uses a collet to hold the tools. Either way the collets or the chuck is not here. After close inspection I have noticed that the handle/lever along with its pivot point may have been replaced with a brass mechanism as the rest of the tool is cast steel that has been painted. The bottom table pivots to various settings and was found at a 45 degree setting and not moved. About 10-1/4" tall, motor is 2-3/4" wide and 5-3/4 long including the pulley. Motor is 1 amp model 21. The drill will be well packaged and shipped at our expense. Lower 48 states only.
Works, needs an oiling, belt has some dry cracks.
