In the late 1870's or early 1880's the LANE Brothers Company relocated from Millbrook NY to Poughkeepsie NY.  Sometime in the 1920's the LANE Brothers Company changed its name to Lanebro.  Based on the historical research information this LANE Brothers Industrial Parts Basket would be dated between 1870 - 1920's.  During which time they manufactured coffee & spice mills, coffee roasters and a patented top-hung hardware system for the pocket doors that were popular during that gaslight era.  This antique parts basket is as sturdy as ever - even the canvas-type textile is still strong with no rot and the stitching is holding firm as well.  There are some stains on the canvas - have not tried to remove (sold as is).  The steel metal frame structure has a natural patina from enduring the elements of time & nature.  The entire unit measures 24" height x 25 1/2" length x 19" width - does not collapse down; weighs 11 pounds.  The basket area itself measures 25" length x 18 1/2 width x 16" depth.  A great piece for up-cycling industrial type decor.  Toss some throw pillows or blankets inside.  Make it your own.  Please view all photos closely using the zoom feature as the photos are part of the items description, the most accurate representation of this item & its condition and the exact item you will receive.
