Antique Machine Head (part #360) from a Morse/Dexter Valve Reseating Machine manufactured by the Leavitt Machine Co. of Orange Massachusetts. This tool has the following barely visible factory markings on the three chuck faces with items in square brackets [] added by me for formatting purists. On the first chuck face: 1 [the number of chuck jaw #1,] PAT.JUNE 10,1980 [the original Morse Patent,] JULY 28,1891 [the dates are vertically aligned,] 237 [perhaps a serial number which is struck partially over the top of the first patent date].  On the second chuck face: 2 [the number of chuck jaw #2,] Leavitt Machine CO [,] Orange Mass. [, ] U.S.A. [the three items are vertically aligned,].  On the third chuck face: 3 [the number of chuck jaw #3,] PAT. SEPT.5,1893 [,] MAY 19,1896 [original Dexter patent, dates are vertically aligned].  The illustration(s) at the end of the photo list are not part of the auction and are included for descriptive purposes only.  The first is from eBay listing 350572984814 titled "c.1910 Dexter Valve Reseating Leavitt Machine ,Orange MA advertising Circular" showing an illustration of the machine of which mine is a part.  The second is from eBay listing 331251607706  titled "Dexter Valve Reseating Machine 1925 Parts & Equipmant Catlog" also showing a similar piece.  Finally you might want to check out eBay listing 161354326922 titled "VINTAGE VALVE SEATING OUTFIT IN METAL CASE-DEXTER/LEAVITT" which is actually a complete tool of this type including all the associated tooling and box.  Sure I'm crazy for steering you to a better item but you'd probably find it anyway!
