NEWSPAPER ADDRESSING MACHINE CALLED THE "MUSTANG MAILER" THIS POPULAR MACHINE INCORPORATED A LEVER MECHANISM THAT PRINTED AN ADDRESS ON THE EDGE OF A NEWSPAPER AND THAN MECHANICALLY ADVANCED TO THE NEXT SUBSCRIBER'S ADDRESS' IT WAS AN INEXPENSIVE AND RELATIVELY QUICK WAY TO MAIL A SMALL CIRCULATION NEWSPAPER. IT WAS DESIGNED BY JAMES PAVYER AN AD STATES:  MACHINE FOR PRINTING DIRECTLY UPON THE PAPER OR WRAPPER - NO PASTING NECESSARY.  CAN BE OPERATED BY A BOY:  PRINTS 1500-2500 ADDRESSES PER HOUR.  A CONVENIENT AND INDISPENSABLE DEVICE.  SAVES MONEY TIME AND LABOR. wE PURCHASED THIS ITEM IN THE 1970'S IN CENTRAL PA., WHEN WE BOUGHT OUT SEVERAL SMALL NEWSPAPER SHOPS.
