Antique rare set of letterpress wood type characters  6.22 inch This antique set is coming from an old letterpress shop at Paris in France. We think, that the letters should probably be handcarved and will make an exceptionnel addition to every collection or for a museum. There are 50 pieces in this set, each character is 15,8 cm (6.22 inch) tall. One E is broken, and some letters have had wood worms, but they are no longer active, but the holes are still there. You will see, what you get on the close-up photos below. If you need more pictures, please let me know your email address. Please be sure, that a careful packaging will be done for the characters, so nothing will hurt the characters on transport. Please check also our other auctions, we have some more characters for sale, as we are parting from some printing blocks of our collection. Shipping will be from Germany to the US for US$ 120. If you have any other shipping destination than the USA, please contact me for shipping costs. - A lot of european countries are only US$ 50 for shipping. All item(s) are sold "as is" unless stipulated otherwise. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close. I will combine shipping for multiple item winners to help reduce costs.
