ANTIQUE SINGER SEWING MACHINE 176-11 FUR HIDE TAXIDERMY LEATHER INDUSTRIAL EXC ANTIQUE SINGER SEWING MACHINE 176-11 FUR HIDE TAXIDERMY LEATHER INDUSTRIAL USED EXCELLENT ANTIQUE BESWICK CAST IRON BASE WITH MOTOR EXCELLENT CONDITION Here offered is a specialized Antique Singer Sewing Machine. This is singer Model 176-11. Quoting from a copy of the original operating Manuel that I found on line...... "Machine 176-11 is recommended for stitching fine and medium skins, such as Mink, Ermine, Seal, Hudson Bay Seal, Fox, Squirrel, Coney, ect. It is used for manufacturing Furs and by the retail market Furriers for repairs, remodeling, and for general all-around work". This machine is in excellent used condition and every thing appears to work as it should. As stated this is a Singer Model 176-11. All the lettering on the machine is in very fine condition and I can find no rust on the machine. The pans are stamped 176028 USA, also there are part numbers as shown. This is on a wooden toped Beswick Cast Iron Base. The wooden top is 37" x 20" x 1 1/2" thick. The base is painted black and has Cast iron foot pedals that work as they should. The leather belt is intact but appears to need tightening. The motor works and has an on/off switch underneath. As shown it has a modern cord. As stated this machine works but I am sure it need a good cleaning and oiling to make it really HUM. I have tested the motor and the foot petals, and the moving parts of the machine. That being said I did not (nor do I really know how to) try and sew anything on this. However as I am selling this as a pick up only you will be able to thoroughly inspect this machine before you take it home.
