Greetings! For your consideration: an ANTIQUE SKLAR PORTABLE COMPRESSOR UNIT MODEL 100-65! This is a great portable compressor unit complete with the original glass bottle and a working Leland Ohio Electric Co. motor! Unearthed from an old basement here in beautiful Western Massachusetts, we are proud to offer this beautiful antique compressor! The cosmetic condition is very good for the age; as can be seen in the photographs there is a bit of rusting to the unit itself, some minor wear to the power cord, and some light cracking to the plastic tubes (specifically at the ends - they are otherwise flexible). I personally think the antique patina suits this piece perfectly! The electric motor activates immediately when plugged in and switched on. The pressure gauge remained stationary during our testing, but we are unsure how to operate this device. The glass bottle remains in beautiful antique condition and comes complete with stopper - it is difficult to find them in this condition! The clasps hold the bottle firmly without being too tight, and the foam padding underneath shows some minimal wear. The black handle is firmly attached to the unit and offers reliable portability. Original metal wrench is present as well, attached to the bottom of the device. We are sure there is still a practical use for this compressor, but with a little modification we feel this antique piece of machinery can be transformed into an amazing piece of functional steam punk artwork!
