This 8-RING meets the strict standards set by the National Fire Protection Association for life safety rope and system components under NFPA1983-2006 edition. Please note that it is not yet certified. The ARBORIST RESCUE 8-RING is designed to support large ropes--two of them, in fact. Its upper ring boasts extended horns that prevent slippage and make tying off a breeze. The tie-in end features dual holes that allow the 8-Ring to stay attached to the harness while a rope is threaded through, eliminating device loss in hazardous situations. This top-rated descender is a favorite among rescue professionals. Specifications: Made from durable 6061-T6 material, this 8-ring descender weighs in at 221g/7.8oz. Its size is 17x15.5cm, 6.75x6.1" and has a breaking strength of 10,000 pounds.
