This is an unusual item that would dealer sell for a LOT of money. The basic design idea is that the height of the seat is electrically adjustable up and down from a low of 17 inches to a high of 40 inches using a built-in 12 volt battery (with charger). The lift feature permits much safer handling of a handicapped person by a single caregiver. The arms will fold back so you have full access to the seat as shown in the second photo. If the patient is in bed, you can raise the seat level slightly above the mattress, move the unit so the seat is now over the mattress, then lower it so it is pressing into the mattress. Then you lock the casters and slide the patient onto the seat and bring them to a seating position and attach the safety belt. Now, just bring the seat up so it clears the mattress and you can easily move back the unit so their legs are clear. Lower the seat to a comfortable height and you have the patient safely out of bed ready to be transported - all without difficulty and by one person - without straining them. If the patient can walk, they can grip the arm rests and slide forward when the seat is at the proper height for them. The height control is hand-held so the operator can stand in front of them while adjusting the height. Another big safety consideration: If ever a patient falls, it is sometimes very difficult for one person to get them up! Just move this to them, lower the seat and lock the wheels. It will be much easier for you to get them onto the low seat and let the power lift do the rest. The unit is in utterly pristine condition! Absolutely clean and seemingly unused. It will come with a brand new battery. The seat itself is about 19" wide and the space between the arm rests is about 20 1/2". The maximum width is only 27" wide so it will easily fit through a doorway.
