The STERRAD® Incubator is designed to incubate up to 18 biological indicator vials at 58°C ±2°C. The open well design provides viewing of the vial contents while incubating. The STERRAD Incubator is designed for use with the Advanced Sterilization Products’ (ASP) STERRAD CycleSure™ Biological Indicator. PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION: The electronically controlled incubator is factory set at 58°C. Heating is achieved through a thermally conductive path from element to block to test tube to media. Heating control is achieved by means of a precision sensor and automatic electronic controller calibrated to the media temperature. Qualified technicians using a calibrated thermometer can perform field temperature adjustment, within the adjustable range.
