This action is for 1 (one) assembled soldered Dosimeter MyGeiger OLD EDITION version 1.00 with the latest available firmware version installed. Take note: Geiger Tube, Battery, Case, TTL Module or any cables are NOT INCLUDED! This is retired version of the DIY Geiger kit, I have several last items in stock and I sell it for lowest price with big discount. The kit is fully soldered, you just need to install your own SBM-20 tube and connect power source, solder battery wires to the PCB, tact switch buttons, pins or connect external modules. Kit's hardware comes with the latest available firmware version 1.17 "My Geiger" can be connected to computer for saving logs files via USB UART TTL module or via COM port with MAX232 IC. It will save CSV logs files with system time and CPM value. Native logger software can be used for creating csv log files, uploading CPM data to Xively or RadMon. Also the dosimeter can be connected to Arduino or other MCU for capturing interrupts from the GM Tube, for example you can create your own monitoring projects or integrate "MyGeiger" into existing network. With SBM-20 tube it can register from 0.01uSv/h up to 0.5mSv/h (500uSv/h) radiation. The Alert system will activate logic 1 level on ALR pin and light up LCD backlight for visual signalization immediately when radiation levels goes up. All 5110 LCD's are actually retired Nokia 3310 cell phone displays with new PCB adapter. Displays are old stock items from Nokia and it's surface is not ideal. There are no new Nokia 3310 LCD in the world, but we try to delivery the best samples we can get. The kit can be powered with 4pcs 1.25V Ni-MH batteries or from computer USB line. Be careful and do not touch the board during operation! High voltage generation fully controlled by microcontroller. The MCU perform precision measurement and correct high voltage. Measurement Period: Measurement period is fixed to 10 seconds, but moving average algorithm is used. Graphic Scale: Fast response graphic scale on the LCD with range from 30cpm to 800 cpm. Radiation Dose Range: By default the module has 0.0057 factor for SBM-20 that can be changed by user in menu. Practical test showed that 1.00 edition is good for levels up to 500uSv/h Buzzer sound: User can mute sound with key. Calibration Menu: Simple calibration menu where you can change conversion factor from 0.0010 to 0.0250 with 0.0001 step. The factor saved to EEPROM. Alert Threshold is saved only for session. Alert is calibarted from 120cpm to 5000cpm with 10cpm step. LCD Backlight: By default the microcontroller will power off backlight for energy saving. You can light up the backlight for several seconds if pressing "OK" button. When CPM value will reach Alert threshold the MCU will light up the backlight by auto to warn you about dangerous level. UART Logging: Dosimeter send CPM value via UART each time it updates on the display. Radiation Logger software is recommended. Arduino: The dosimeter can send tube events as interrupts to Arduino or other MCU via ARD pin. It generate 2us low-high-low pulses on pin ARD. This function is excellent for building radiation monitoring station based on Arduino. External Relay: You can drive relay module or additional alert led from ALR pin when CPM value will rise to saved alert threshold.
