Listed  is an Associated “Chore Boy” 1 3/4 HP. hit / miss engine in good running condition. This engine is not one that I bought to sell for a profit. I have this engine for fifteen years and have shown it at engine shows for that length of time and ran it to power numerous shellers and grinders to display the engine. This is the early model with the up strike igniter trip. I did not want to repaint it because it retains much of the original paint. I wiped linseed oil over the paint to enhance the patina and original beauty that only an original paint can show. It has the original raised letter gas tank and I mounted the engine on an oak truck with a tool box under the gas tank (as the originals were). The original hand crank is in the tool box. The main bearings are not sloppy, and the compression is very good. It comes with a nice oak battery box. The running gear and the handle on the truck is early, the oak bed was made by me. The original oak bed was not nice enough to be left on such a beautiful engine. The engine starts and runs great with no cracked, repaired, or broken parts. It can be operated sweet and slow to show its possible low operating speed or run faster to run an implement. This is accomplished by a simple adj. of the speed control dial. This is a hit/miss engine that you can be proud to display, and I am sure that you will get many nice comments about its operation and beauty. I am selling this engine to be picked up at my home in eastern PA by the buyer. If the buyer can arrange the shipping to be picked up at my home, than I will fasten it to a skid and wrap it to protect it from shipping damages. I have shipped other large items this way through UPS Freight. The buyer must arrange for the shipping and insurance costs of the Freight handler. I will only make sure that the engine is wrapped & skidded for safety. I can deliver it to the summer show at Cool Springs, or Kinzer’s Rough & Tumble show or other local Eastern PA engine shows, if they are local to eastern PA. If the buyer wishes to pick it up at my residence, I will keep the engine here and sheltered in my barn until a June time frame at no storage fee. Payment must be made through Paypal within five days after the auction closes. If no response or payment, the sale will be voided. Thank you for your bidding……… Miniram
