Atlas Copco SF-8 Oil Free Scroll Air Compressor For sale- an Atlas Copco SF-8 Oil Free Scroll Air Compressor. I inspected this thing VERY briefly and it looked nice enough, but without being able to power it up I have no idea what the functional status or the hours on it are. All I can tell you is that it was being used with a 2004 Kodak Digital Printing Press and when the press was decommissioned so was the compressor that was being used with it. Presumably the compressor is of a similar vintage, and I have to assume that would not have been the most demanding task for a piece like this to perform. I apologize for the pictures. They aren’t mine but they are the unit being offered. I’m having difficulty getting the contact at the university printing office to call me back, so while it was supposed to be removed today that’s hard to do if you are supposed to schedule an appointment and the guy won’t return your call. So I thought I would offer it now at a discount prior to the actual pickup. That way if I can find a buyer for it right away I can take it back to the warehouse and prep it to ship rather than trying to find a place to store it. 3 phase power is available in the warehouse, but my access to it, particularly with something this large, is limited and I get pretty nervous around that much juice. So I may or may not be able to get the thing powered up. In which case I won’t know anything more about it then than I do now. Other than whether it has a storage tank with it, I thought I saw one during my brief preview but it doesn’t show up in their pictures and isn’t mentioned as being part of the deal. Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. Given the shipping costs involved I don’t see any advantage in offering a return privilege, so please buy it to own it. If repairs are required they will be at your expense, but as I am offering this for over $2000 less than the cheapest SF8 currently listed you should be able to afford some repairs if necessary. I have enabled Best Offer but would only consider an offer in which you will take care of removing it from the university facility in a timely fashion so that I don’t have to bother with it Just so that we are clear, this is an item that has not been tested. As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a degree of risk. If you Buy It Now or submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it. In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item. I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction. Shipping will be motor freight on a pallet unless you would like to come pick it up. I would estimate the shipping weight at around 1100 pounds. I would estimate the freight cost for that at between $500 and $1000 to the east and west coast respectively. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done. Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up. I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required. If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine. It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093 (after I pick it up), but I do not live there! I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there. The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable. I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped.
