The package contents include ATOM TAG radiometer-dosimeter, charging USB cord, operating manual ATOM TAG is the perfect radiation detection instrument designed for non-professionals. It works seamlessly with iOS and Android smartphones or tablets and detects the presence of ionizing radiation such as X-rays, Gamma, and Beta in the environment. ATOM TAG is ideal for various radiation detection and measurement tasks such as monitoring radiation levels, conducting land surveys, inspecting buildings and vehicles, assessing construction materials, locating radioactive sources, and urban prospecting. It can also be used for physical experiments and educational purposes to demonstrate gamma photon or beta particles registration. The smartphone or tablet collects and processes the data wirelessly using the dedicated "Dosimeter" app that displays the measurement results and provides a simple and easy interface to set the alarm and alert thresholds, adjust the parameters and many more. If Bluetooth 4.0 connection to the Smartphone or Tablet is lost, ATOM TAG works as a programmable dose rate and accumulated dose alarm, and accumulated dose data will be available at the next Bluetooth connection. ATOM TAG is available in black, violet, green, red, yellow, and white colors. It measures 110*20*12 mm (4.3”*0.78”*0.47”) and weighs 25 g max (0.88 Oz max). Its technical specifications include measuring range of 0.05 uSv/h – 1 mSv/h (5 uR/h – 100 mR/h), energies of gamma- and X-rays detected 30 keV – 3 MeV, energies of beta-radiation detected 300 keV and higher, and an accumulated dose measurement range of 1 nSv – 1 Sv (0.1 uR – 100 R). ATOM TAG has a continuous work time of more than 30 days from full charge under normal background without alarms. It requires any USB charger or PC as a charging source, and a full charge takes only one hour. ATOM TAG contains a sensitive radiation detector (model SBM-20 Geiger tube), all the necessary electronics, LiIon rechargeable battery, Bluetooth 4.0 radio interface, buzzer, and vibrating signal. The Geiger tube and electronics are protected by a sturdy plastic housing that is safe for use around people and animals and will not harm the environment.
