Up for auction is a Complete Set of Audel's Engineering and Mechanics Guide, Copyrighted 1921 ( Except Volume 8, Wiring and Electrical, which is a 1924 edition printed in 1927) These reference books were used by my grandfather, a Machinists Mate in the US Navy and US Coast Guard. These books are in Excellent condition, and were used and handled with great care. His name and the name of the ship he was on at the time of purchase, USS Downes (shown in the pictures) is written on the inside of the covers. This is a wonderful set of books that provide a look into the past at how the machines and engines of the Industrial Age of the early 20th Century, were maintained and operated.
