The microphone transmitter shall be an Audio-Technica mtu101 microphone transmitter unit or equivalent. The mtu101 microphone transmitter is a reliable, high-quality unit that is great for use in a variety of settings. With free shipping, it is an excellent value for the price. The Audio-Technica SpectraPulse mtu101 is a boundary-style microphone transmitter unit that operates using ultra wideband (UWB) pulse technology in the 6 GHz band. With UWB operation, the SpectraPulse mtu101 provides excellent audio quality and is immune to multipath interference. The mtu101 allows for simple channel address selection and has a configurable soft-touch mute button. The wireless boundary microphone transmitter shall operate in the 6 GHz band using UWB timed pulse technology. It shall incorporate a simple address/channel selector switch for address assignment and LED indicators for power, low battery, link present and mute status (mic active). The mtu101 shall be capable of operating with standard AA alkaline or NiMH batteries. When using NiMH batteries, it shall be possible to operate the transmitter for nine hours. LED status indicators (power, low battery, link, mute) are featured on the mtu101. It operates on 2 AA batteries (NiMH or Alkaline) and has integral charging encryption contacts. Its heavy-duty construction ensures that it lasts a long time. An optional rechargeable battery and charging/encryption station are also available. A SpectraPulse system consists of a Digital Receiver Module (drm141), up to 14 Microphone Transmitter Units/Desk Stand Transmitters (mtu101 and/or mtu201) and up to two Audio Control Interfaces (aci707). It will support up to 14 simultaneous audio channels. The mtu101 is inherently secure in operation since the UWB data is transmitted in extremely short-duration pulses. It is capable of up to nine hours of operation using a fully charged set of NiMH batteries. The mtu101 boundary microphone transmitter is a crucial component of the SpectraPulseВ® wireless microphone system. Up to 14 Microphone Transmitter Units (mtu101) can be used in a SpectraPulse system.
