AudioScan Description Listing is for an AudioScan hearing diagnostic testing unit. This item is untested and being sold as is. It is missing a few items and shows signs of wear. Please read the full description below. To begin with, the item is quite worn. The exterior case has some cosmetic damage and a previous owner's information has been scratched into the samsonite case above the words "audioscan" The hinges in the back have a small amount of rust on them. The case is a bit worn but sturdy. There's some dirt and dust, I did not fully clean the unit. It does not have any smells but shows some age; I believe it sat in storage for some time. It does not have any microphones or other attachments. The main speaker is included as is an instruction booklet. The printer is also missing a small bar which holds the paper to be fed. When plugged in the item beeps a series of tones, starting lower and going up an octave until it says item okay, although calibration is necessary. Lights flash on the panel, and the screen lights up. All of the buttons make a beep when pressed, and pressing the calibrate button takes me to the next menu which describes the process required. The screen is very bright, and I cannot figure out how to adjust brightness. Looking at it from below makes it readable yet from a level angle it is too bright to make out. This item would not be functional out of the box, additional hardware and calibration are necessary as far as I can tell. This item is sold as is, described to the best of my ability.
