This is for a new still in the box Auditel NC50 Digital Microphone Controller, still in the box, it seems to be in full working order , came from an A/V rental environment, sold as is The Auditel IDN conference system offers digital microphone control using single cable loopthrough connections, providing the highest possible quality audio output suitable for broadcast applications and with the option of digital audio input and output. The basic system can be used without operator control, or in conjunction with a conventional push button control console, or a personal computer running Auditel’s own specially written software. The latter makes full use of the Microsoft WindowsTM Graphical User Interface to facilitate microphone management using the mouse and/or a touchscreen. Data exchange with other WindowsTM applications is also possible. The system includes options for automatic image projection using colour cameras. The Network Controller provides the power, digital interface and audio processing electronics for the IDN delegate microphone and voting units. Two versions are available - the NC50 can power up to 50 delegate units, and the NC100 up to 100 (these capacities are doubled if the delegate units do not incorporate loudspeakers). Apart from this, the two versions are identical. The system can be expanded to several thousand units with the addition of further controllers and auxiliary power supplies. The NC-50/100 are 19" rack mounting units (height 2U). A case is also available (C50) to enable the controller to be used as a free-standing unit. The NC-50/100 can be used with delegate microphone units to provide a delegate controlled discussion system. The controller has two external control ports that allow this basic system to be extended to provide central microphone switching by connecting one or two CPM401/2 or MIMIC consoles. Many additional facilities, including voting and card reading, can be provided by connecting a PC running Auditel’s own ACCSS control software. It is also possible to connect both a PC and a switching console, and have them working in parallel. CONTROL FACILITIES The control modes are set via a front panel LCD display and pushbutton switches with indicators, and the settings are stored in non-volatile memory. The background diagnostic function continuously scans the network and gives an alert if any faults occur. In delegate control mode the maximum number of live microphones allowed can be pre-set from 1 to16. The system can also be operated in FIFO mode where requests are stored in sequence once the limit has been reached, and the next one is automatically activated when one of the live microphones is cancelled. There are facilities for implementing adjacent loudspeaker muting, and to re-map the delegate unit addresses. AUDIO FACILITIES The NC50/100 audio facilities are very flexible and comprehensive. The primary audio input is provided by the delegate unit network. The gain is automatically controlled according to the number of live microphones so as to inhibit acoustic feedback. There are two general-purpose balanced audio inputs, with selectable sensitivity and provision for phantom power, for use with auxiliary or radio microphones. These inputs have front panel level controls and indicators, and four selectable gating options. The various inputs are mixed to form the main composite floor channel. This signal is made available on two balanced line level outputs for connection to external equipment There is a balanced line level PA output with associated front panel level control and indicator. The PA channel incorporates adjustable low and high cut-off filters, and there is provision for an optional Frequency Shifter feedback suppression module to be fitted within the unit. In addition, there is a separate input for the delegate loudspeakers, an output for an interpretation system and a tape I/O connector. flexible conference and voting solutions MONITORING The inbuilt monitor loudspeaker has a level control and can be automatically muted if a headset is plugged in. There is also an out- put for an external monitoring amplifier/loudspeaker combination. A socket on the front panel enables a combination mic/headset to be connected to provide monitoring and talkback facilities. DIGITAL AUDIO The NC50/100 can be supplied with an optional AES/EBU digital input/output interface for direct connection to professional high- quality digital audio equipment. TECHNICAL DATA (Delegate Mic. Architects and Engineers specification The Network Controller shall be a 19” rack mounting unit that can control up to 999 delegate microphone/voting units and have a power supply for up to 50 (NC50) or 100 (NC100) delegate units with loudspeakers. It shall have connections for four zones of delegate units and two control units, capable of operating in parallel. There shall also be two balanced auxil- iary inputs with adjustable sensitivity, and four line level audio outputs. The frequency response of the system from the dele- gate unit microphone input to the controller audio output shall be at least 125Hz–25kHz (-3dB), distortion at 1kHz not more than 0.1% and the S:N ratio not less than 68dB re. 1mV input. We reserve the right to vary the specification without notice in the interest of product improvement conference and interpretation systems Unit 2, Davenport Vernon Trading Estate, Cock Lane, High Wycombe, Bucks HP13 7DE, UK Tel: +44(0)1494 465 335 Fax: +44(0)1494 525 127 Web: www.auditel.ltd.uk Email: enquire@auditel.ltd.uk NC50/100_0609_V1_WEB
