Safe Practice The auto-darkening welding helmet is suitable for use with virtually all welding processes except Oxy-Acetylene welding, laser welding and gas. However, it is not recommended to use this type of filter when the arc is glimmer or just incandescent. In this case, it is necessary to do a try out before use. Standard protective plates must be installed on both the inside and the outside surfaces of the filter. Failure to use protective plates may constitute a safety hazard or result in irreparable damage to the filter. Maintenance Carefully inspect the LCD VISION auto-darkening welding helmet. Cracked, pitted or scratched filter glass or cover plate reduces vision and seriously reduces the level of protection. Such damaged components must be replaced immediately to avoid risk of serious eye and face injuries. Clean the lens with a lint free tissue. Do not use solvent. Warnings Use the auto-darkening welding helmet only for eye and face protection against harmful ultra violet and infra-red radiation , sparks and spatter from welding. Protective plates are fragile. This product will not protect you against serious impact hazards such as,fragments of grinding .wheels or abrasive discs, stones ,or other grinding tools,explosive devices or corrosive liquids ETC,. Appropriate protection must be used where these hazards exist. Do not use any tools or other sharp objects to remove any components of filter or helmet. Doing so may damage filter or helmet preventing proper function possibly causing injury or cancellation of the warranty.
