Automated Biomass AS630 wood splitter for sale. This unit was purchased for a specialty contract that fell through. Customer then decided to trade it in toward something he could use. Unit had 4 tenths of one hour when I piked it up and I have tried it out for another tenth of an hour and will be using it to split whats left of my winters wood until sold. Will have very few hours on it though. So this is about as new as you can get without ordering a new one. Just to make it perfectly clear as I write this machine has less than one hours use!!! So for a little more info about this style splitter: Powered by a Honda 20hp gas engine, powering a hydraulic system. It powers the main splitting ram as well as a power lift arm which can be used to lift large pieces of wood to the platform or to pile wood to be split. From there, you roll the wood into the tray and after that don't have to touch it again. It is pushed into a multi wedge splitter that shears the wood into a maximum size of 4.5" by 4.5". The portion unspilt is pulled back automatically back into the tray to be split. This continues until the chunk is gone. All you have to do is push and hold the lever to complete the split then pull back to the auto-return detent to reset. Pretty neat concept, would work well in an application where wood can not exceed a certain size, or possibly splitting to a size that is uniform to be bundled. The one down side I see is that you end up with a little extra splinter wood here and there. Not horrible but I would say a little more than a conventional setup. To be fair though the wood I tried it on was left over cut offs that have been sitting a couple years so not a real good test. They ones pictured were a little punky. Worked fine with either but the better wood produced a cleaner product. Another neat feature is that in small wood you can throw 2 or even 3 pieces in the split tray, whatever will fit instead of one chunk at a time. It does have good splitting power. The company claims with two people really working it can produce up to 2.5 cords an hour. Once the pieces come off the split tray they are pushed over a grate that helps separate the fines, and from there can either drop on ground, in a loader bucket, or onto a conveyor. Lift arm unpins with one pin to fold over machine for easy road transport. Unit is built heavy, really probably overbuilt. Weighs about 2,500lbs. On a towable chassis. 2" ball hitch. Comes with not one but two built in front moount jacks. Not the el' cheapo ones either. This model lists for $12,000, reality is around $10,500. I have this lightly used unit priced at $8500. Vt sales tax if applicable. Call 802-793-7023 for more info or if you want to come see it in action. Can help arrange delivery at buyers cost. Sorry no paypal unless you pay fees! Will take certified funds with time to clear (up to 2 weeks), bank to bank wire (usually clears in a day) Will also accept good old cash in hand.
