Avaya 5 Pin 4B ( gas tube with sneak current protection ) protectors. These have been just taken out of service from a clean dry environment and were only in service a couple of years. They look new. They were protection on a short cable run (500') between buildings in a closed block without much chance of taking a hit. We're selling these in lots of 25 pieces. Each 25 piece lot will be shipped loose in a Zip lock bag. Your bid is for one lot of 25. 4B protectors (over voltage and sneak current) usually sell at the electrical supply or datacom supply houses for about $350 per hundred. Also available (inquire) (6) Circa 1880ECA1-100 110 Connector Input to 110 Connector Output Building entrance protectors. These are used and in good condition with some light scuffing. No sharpy markings etc. 4 Type (Voltage and Current) These protectors provide both overvoltage protection and overcurrent protection. The 4-type protectors unit is ideal for Central Offices, Building Entrance Terminals, and Loop Carrier Remote Terminals. The only difference between the 4B and the 4C protectors is that the 4C protectors have the optional test access ports. 4B*EW and 4C*EW The 4B*EW and 4C*EW Plug-in Protector Units feature gas tube surge arrestors and heat coils to provide overvoltage and sneak current protection for central office and building entrance protection. The only difference between the two protectors is that the 4C*EW protector has test access ports, whereas the 4B*EW does not. Applications include areas prone to frequent lightning, unmanned locations exhibiting high carbon block failure rates, special service circuits and trunk circuits where reliability is of critical concern; and surge-sensitive equipment. The units are 2 inches (50.8 mm) high and are characterized by the industry standard .5-inch (12.7 mm) x .75-inch (19.1 mm) five-pin footprint. Overvoltage protection is accomplished with gas tubes. When the voltage across tip and/or ring conductors exceeds the specified range, it will be limited by arcing across the internal gap of the gas tube. If current flow across this gap is large or persists for an appreciable time, the thermal overload mechanism will operate and become permanently grounded. Sneak current protection is provided through the use of heat coils.
