Up for auction is an AVTool/Cypress AVT-8120 quad splitter with timebase corrector (plus AC adapter). The TBC is in working condition. This can be used for digitizing VHS tapes, but keep in mind the unit is composite only (it is all BNC connectors but I will include two RCA-to-BNC adapters). For those familiar with the website DigitalFAQ will note the Lordsmurf seal on the bottom. The person I bought the unit from bought it off Lordsmurf, who serviced the TBC. In my possession it was barely used. Supposedly this unit has the same chipset as the green AVT-8710 units so sought after these days. Cosmetically there are a few scuffs on the bottom of the TBC, but otherwise it looks good. Comes with printed instructions on setting up the unit for digitizing tapes. (Its original intended purpose was a quad splitter for security systems.) I will cover the shipping, which will be USPS Priority Mail. Sorry - no returns.
