If you are in the sign business or do anything with wide-format printing you know the importance of lamination. You also know what a huge pain-in-the-neck laminating films can be. A lot of outdoor signs are being printed nowadays and although the ink is better than it used to be, it won't last as long as solid vinyl. To stay in the game you have to do some kind of lamination. As you know, there are two kinds of laminating machines: film and liquid. Liquid laminating machines have enormous advantages over film laminating machines, 1. The liquid does a better job of bonding to the substrate 2. It lasts longer 3. Liquid laminate costs less. Liquid Laminate costs 11? per square foot- even “economy” solid . laminates cost around 50? per square foot. How much would you save? 4. It is easier to apply But one huge disadvantage of liquid laminating machines is the price. Most wide-format liquid lamination machines cost over ten thousand dollars and a “cheapie” will cost at least $3000.00. In addition to the motorized rollers found on a film laminating machine there is a pump and heaters that drive up the cost. I bought this machine a couple of years ago from a Giklee (Art Reproduction) Printer. I cleaned up the pump, delivery tube and all the lines. I then put it through its paces and ran water through the whole process, testing the motorized rollers, the pump and the heaters. He converted the machine to solvent-based laminating fluid but it still has the controls and probably could be converted back. I had planned to use it in my construction business but the great recession put an end to that idea. I don't know when,or if, construction will ever come back. The machine is just gathering dust and I could use the money so I have decided to sell this versatile machine. You have probably noticed that there aren't a lot of used laminating machines on the market and when they do pop up- they're expensive. If you jump on this deal right now you will get a Working liquid laminating machine at an unheard of price of $1200. Look on Ebay and you will find only a few liquid laminating machines and the ones that are there are wildly expensive.  There is another one on Ebay which is almost exactly like this one and it is selling for  $5000!!! • Dimensions: It is 89” wide by 25” deep and 64” high • Electrical Hookup: 220 Volts What kind of material can it handle? The guy I bought it from was using it to coat art reproductions on canvas. He also used it for paper. It can also be used for vinyl. How big of material? When I say wide-format, I am not kidding. This machine can handle material up to 5 feet wide. How does it work? 1. Put the roll of your material on the free spinning roller, weave it through the application bar and . the heater bar and then tape the end to the motorized roller. 2. Adjust the heater temp and the roller speed. 3. Turn it on and the motorized roller rotates, pulling the entire roll of your material through the application tube. To get the lamination “just right,” there are numerous adjustments you can make including 1. Speed of the material going across the lamination bar. 2. Temperature of the Heater 3. Height of the lamination bar Everything works on this machine: The motorized rollers, The heater, the pump. Everything Works Cash or Check only - No Paypal Shipping: The Buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping. I will deliver it to a freight company in Eugene Oregon free of charge, but that is all I can do. It would be much better ( and cheaper) for the buyer to come pick it up in Eugene, Oregon This machine does not weigh a lot considering how big it is, but it is big. It weighs approximately 250-300#. I am a small guy and I was able to pick up one side of it. It is 89” wide by 25” deep and 64” high. Save yourself a pile of dough and come to Eugene Oregon to pick it up, FREE! For you guys East of the Mississippi, forget it. The freight would eat you alive. Realistically, the person buying it will live on or near the West Coast.
