B&K (B+K) Model 1653 ISOLATED Variable AC Power Supply 0-150VAC - 2 AMPS Tested. Condition is "Used". Up for sale is B&K Model 1653 isolated variable AC power supply. I have tested this unit, and I have adjusted the "Volts" and "Amps" trimmer pots so that the meter reads accurately (see photos 8 & 9). The interior is shown in photo 7. At some point, the top had 6 small holes drilled so that the unit could be (I presume) mounted under a bench or shelf. Please look closely at the photos as there are some cosmetic flaws but, overall, the condition is good. This unit was used nearly every weekday from the mid 80s to the late 90s. It has spent most of its time since in conditioned storage. I pulled this out of storage a few months ago and have used it for a couple of repair projects. When you apply AC power to older electronics that have not been powered for some time, it is wise to bring the AC voltage up slowly to allow the electrolytic capacitors to gently reform. Also, when working on a hot ground power supply, isolation is a must! This little fella has often protected me a my equipment but it's time for someone else to use it now. Please note that I am selling this unit strictly as is. Any electronics, cables, etc. in the photos are not part of this listing. I will take care to package this properly so that it will be protected from the ordinary and expected rigors of shipping.
