 Sodium bicarbonate GOST 2156-76 Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO3, is a white crystalline powder which is easily decomposed, releasing carbon dioxide. A distinctive feature of the product is a mild alkaline properties, without adverse effect on animal and vegetable tissue. Application: - food industry – used in baking, confectionery, beverage. - cosmetology - the production of bath salts; - medical and pharmaceutical industries - manufacture of antiseptics, for the preparation of injection solutions, anti-TB drugs and antibiotics. - nonferrous metallurgy - in the deposition of rare-earth metals and ore flotation; - rural farm - used for feed production; - recycling plants - used in cleaning systems of flue gases; - light industry - in production of sole rubber and artificial leather, leather industry (tanning and neutralisation of skins), textile industry (finishing of silk and cotton fabrics); - chemical industry - production of dyes, foam plastics and other organic products, fluoric reagents, household chemicals, fillers for fire extinguishers for separating carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide from gas mixtures (gas is absorbed in a solution of bicarbonate at high pressure and low temperature, the solution is restored by heating and reduced pressure); production of modern, environmentally friendly household chemicals (detergents, various cleaning products);
