NEW IN BOX (NIB) US Military Ballistic Shooting Glasses Special Protective Spectacle Eyewear Kit: The SPECS has been designed and constructed with state-of-the-art materials, and provides optimum peripheral vision, and ballistic, laser, and solar protection. They are available in two sizes: regular (this kit) and large. The SPECS system has four lenses, clear, grey sunglass, green laser, and brown laser. The clear lens is intended to be used in low light or night conditions, and offers ultraviolet (UV) protection. The grey sunglass offers UV protection, and blocks 85% of visible sunlight. The green laser lens (marked "S2" on lens) provides protection against two types of laser emissions, while the brown laser lens (marked "S3" ob lens) protects against three. All the lenses offer ballistic protection; they will stop a 15-caliber steel pellet, at 650 feet per second. The frame is comprised of a browbar, temple arms, and two earpieces.The temple system is designed to provide the most comfort and best fit for all wearers. It has three adjustable components: the length of the temple, the components: the templet ratchet, and the earpiece. The temple ratchet is rigid plastic section attached to the frame. The SPECS earpieces are made of a flexible nylon for a comfortable fit. There are two removable earpieces: the spatula and cable. The spatula is the eyeglass temple seen in most eyeglasses, whereas the cable is curved to fit around the ear for a very secure fit.
