The banding is made of 200 or 300 series stainless steel, which is resistant to rust and corrosion. The 2/100" thickness is thin enough to allow the strapping to be bent snugly around the object. The strapping measures 200 ft. long, 3/4" wide, and 2/100" thick, weighs 11.4 lb., and has an average breaking strength of 1,275 lb. (Breaking strength is the greatest stress the strap can withstand without rupturing.)
