This is a used stir plate and hot plate combination made by Barnstead/Thermolyne.  Surface is approximately 7.5 inches X 7.5 inches.  I have tested the stirrer ability and the heating ability of item.  Both work very well.  This item is used.  I have cleaned with a mild cleaner but as you can see in pictures it is still used in appearance.  You will notice the outer insulation on the power cord is cracked on the back of the unit.  Internal wires are still insulated and I could not find any exposed wiring anywhere.  This would be an easy fix with electrical tape or electrical shrink wrap if this is a concern.   Terms of sale 1.  At surplus_equipment_2012, we do not have the ability or knowledge to do extensive testing.  We plug in and describe what we see and hear to the best of our knowledge. 2.  All items are sold as is with no returns unless clearly stated in ad.   3.  Charges include shipping, insurance, packing materials, gas to drop off(I am a small business and don't have daily pick up).   4.  Payment expected with in 5 days after auction ends. 5.  Item will ship within 72 hours after payment has been received and cleared.  Item will ship either FedEx or UPS ground, unless clearly stated in ad or agreed upon prior to auction ending. 6.  Locals can pick up in person but must pay cash.
