This auction is for a lightly used Koamtac KDC-300 (KDC300) Bluetooth data scanner collector. Works flawlessly and perfectly. Also, the battery holds a charge with no issues (which btw, is replaceable by user when needed!). It's like a little computer as it can be easily configured and customized as per your specific needs. Complete specs can be found all over the place so won't flood this ad with the same info. Also, all manuals and technical information can be downloaded from Koamtac's website, as well as some supporting programs and tools for FREEEEE! This auction includes an original CD from Koamtac with all this information. The item you'll receive is exactly as pictured serial number ending in ....07. Why is this little gem so great IMHO?? - Multi-line OLED screen with brightness adjustment - Immediate indication on screen of scanned bar codes and configurable as for how long displayed - Ability to review any of the collected data right on the scanner - Ability to delete any or all collected data right on the scanner - Configurable to show info such as time & battery level every time you scan - this is really nice - Totally configurable using the screen and 3 buttons without requiring connection to a PC - Sound can be easily turned on or off (stealth mode when book scouting...!) - Long battery duration - Battery is serviceable by user! NICE!! - Extremely small footprint - compare the image with the dollar bill as a reference I've successfully paired this device with the following 3 different phones: 1) an iPhone 4, 2) a Blackberry Z10 and 3) a Samsung S5! Very easily and without any extra software. Everything I scanned was directly input'ed to the pre-opened input window. I.e.: open google's page and scan a bar code - voila the digits went to the input bar and opened a bunch of links with it. Could have opened a text file and simply scanned consecutive bar codes into it. There are many specialized software packages for inventory, book and other tracking purposes available in the market depending on your needs. You'll have to do your research depending on what you intend to use it for. I'm not a sales person not a technical rep. working for this company, but to me it's a great product - and no wonder it's retail price is over $500!! - you can be lucky and get it here for a LOT less!! I do not provide technical support either, just sharing my experience. For more in depth technical advise you might need to contact Koamtac directly. Bid starts very low for this great tool!! Bid early so you won't get surprised and 'sniped' at the end of the auction.
