Moving Sale, As we were packing up the stationary supply cabinet for moving to our new location we found several items that we don't use any longer or in some cases never used after they were purchased. This BATES "RNM5A-7" ROYALL AUTOMATIC SEQUENTIAL NUMBERING STAMP MACHINE is one of those items. In this case I am told that 5 or 6 of these were purchased a number of years ago, 1 each for different departments. They were used to serialize documents or tags attached to equipment in production or inspection areas. After we got a computerized system most of them were surplused or discarded however this one was a spare in the supply cabinet and never made it into the purge. This is the black powder coated wrinkle finish "vintage" model as per the images, the same model is still produced out of stamped chrome pieces as opposed to this unit which has a main body that is cast or forged and then milled. This unit is New in it' original box, when it was received, several years ago, the receiving inspection dept. inked the unit and made several test stamps to ensure the unit worked appropriately and then sent it to the stationery supplies person for distribution and or storage. There is wear on the box from years of being pushed around on a storage shelf with other stationery items and there is ink residue on the wheels but only on very few of the number die since only 3 or 4 test stampings were made while it included the original ink bottle, the ink appears to have dried inside, since the bottle is a convenient applicator, I am sure you could rinse it out and refill it so you can still use it for re-inking the pad. The set included the "Spudger" stick which is used to manually preset the numbers to a starting point or to reset them to zero if that is your desire. Interestingly enough there is no evidence of the setting tool ever being in contact with a wheel that had ink on it.... Free Domestic Shipping Payment by PayPal is required at time of sale.
