This is a BAUSCH & LOMB Nicholas type halogen microscope illuminator, catalog # 31-35-28, which casts a bright spot of light on the object being viewed. Cast aluminum base, phenolic lamp housing, the unit has three brightness levels, a six-foot grounded power cord, and operates on 115 VAC 60 Hz. The tapered nose of the lamp section fits into the hole in the top of a B&L "A" stand or E-arm, or it can be used as a stand-alone on its own articulated arm. Excellent condition, comes with a good bulb and a copy of the B&L lamp manual. A new spare bulb will also be included. The weight is about 6 pounds. Buyer pays actual insured shipping cost, no packing or handling charges. No pick-up, all items are shipped. I am an engineer, and I design optical and optomechanical apparatus for industry. I also refurbish microscopes and related equipment and sell them to businesses and universities. I mention this to avoid being confused with the "removed from service" and "powers up" garage-sale vendors, and my feedback speaks for itself.
