Baycox Cattle 1 Litre BAYCOX CATTLE COCCIDIOCIDE Baycox is for the treatment of clinical coccidiosis, and as an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in cattle up to 9 months of age. Baycox controls coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis or Eimeria zuernii in young cattle. Coccidiosis typically occurs in cattle less than a year old causing diarrhoea which is often blood stained. Recently weaned calves are susceptible to outbreaks of clinical disease. Baycox is effective in one dose because it attacks all stages of the parasite in the animal. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Restraint: DO NOT RE-TREAT calves for 75 days after the last treatment. Thoroughly shake the container before use. Give 3 mL of Baycox per 10kg of bodyweight by mouth. For the treatment of clinical disease, treat all affected and in-contact animals. For prevention of coccidiosis on farms with a known history, treat prior to the expected onset of clinical signs. For prevention of coccidiosis in recently weaned calves, treat at weaning time when milk feeding ceases. WITHHOLDING PERIODS MEAT - DO NOT USE less than 56 days before slaughter for human consumption. MILK - DO NOT USE in lactating or pregnant cows where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption TRADE ADVICE EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI): DO NOT slaughter for export for 75 DAYS after last treatment. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Before using this product obtain a veterinary diagnosis for diarrhoea. Early treatment of calves as soon as clinical signs of disease are seen and confirmed as due to coccidiosis will reduce the impact of an outbreak by preventing further intestinal damage in affected animals and preventing non-affected animals from developing diarrhoea. To obtain maximum benefit on farms with a history of coccidiosis, Baycox needs to be given approximately 1 week prior to the expected onset of clinical signs. Treatment of newly weaned calves at the time of milk withdrawal will control coccidiosis associated with weaning. Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustacea and The Environment. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or drains with this product or used container. Disposal Before disposal thoroughly empty the container by using the product for treatment. Triple rinse container and pump. Dispose of rinsate, and bury containers below 500 mm, in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, vegetation and roots. Empty containers and product should not be burned. SAFETY DIRECTIONS When using the product wear rubber gloves. After each day’s use wash gloves.
