This"gift set" includes the original Be'Be'Sounds baby heartbeat listener with two headphone sets, plus audio cable for recording, and a separate "Fetal Microphone" kit for communicating with baby vocally. Listening unit takes a 9V battery; microphone kit takes an AAA battery..... fresh ones included. Original owners manual (paper) is included, explaining how to use everything and more. It gives detailed advice about how long and how often to play particular music, and voice advice...... The foam covering on the "stethoscope" and on both headphones is gone, works fine without it. Two controls -- off-on-volume dial, and pushbutton (large blue on front) to activate listening. Other stuff included -- [x] one audio cable for connecting one of the headphone jacks to any recording device with a 1/8" stereo jack. [x] Wide elastic band with velcro, for holding the unit in place. [x] A couple of small elastic bands and a couple of pink velcro pieces, not sure how they fit into the system. [x] Cassette tape"Have a smarter baby!" with recommended Mozart music selections. [x] COPY CDR of the same music program. The owners manual shows how you can use part of the "Fetal Microphone" kit to play music for baby from any device such as cassette player, CD player, MP3 player. You need an additional piece, two-way plug adapter, NOT included, if you want to listen to the music at the same time as you play it for baby. Simple Guarantee: If not right, I will make it right. Jewel case may have scratches. If it is cracked, I will replace it with one that is not. Unless otherwise stated, DVDs will be in an intact case, with cover art.
