Beckman GPR Refrigerated Tabletop Centrifuge For sale- a Beckman GPR Refrigerated Tabletop Centrifuge with a CH 3.7 Rotor and Buckets with inserts installed as pictured. The centrifuge is in pretty good shape, worst thing you can say about it is that it looks like stuff was piled on top of it for the trip to surplus, the plexi cover over the spin compartment is scratched up more than just a little. The pictures accentuate where I tried to wipe the dust/dirt from sitting in storage off, and unfortunately all I had was an old sponge and water. I think it would clean up nicer than what you see. Other than that it powers right up, begins to cool, and as soon as you set the timer it is off to the races. I kept it at 2000RPM for half an hour, turning it up to 2500RPM not long before the timer clicked off Normally I like to test centrifuges for longer than that but that was all the time I had on this particular day. And I wasn’t aware of the RPM limit on the rotor (3750) until I was taking the pictures after the run was over. So as soon as I have some extra time (after I am dead) I will run it up closer to the limit and just let her go, see if anything seems amiss after it has a chance to really warm up. There are more than several of these listed, many of them with little or no testing, which I cannot understand. Not like it’s a complicated machine or you need the manual or something. Set the timer, adjust the speed, away it goes. 110VAC. Untested other than as described, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. The refrigeration section was tested by dialing it all the way down. At the end of the 30 minute spin it was reading just under 0 degrees C, and had formed some thick frost on the inside of the sample compartment. I would estimate the shipping weight at around 200 pounds. I would estimate the freight cost for that at between $150 and $250 to the east and west coast respectively. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done. Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up. I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required. If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine . It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093, but I do not live there! I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there. The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable. I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped.
